We will visit Thorsmork Valley whose name derives from the viking king Thor. This magical place is surrounded by glaciers which explains the area’s climate which is strikingly mild. Thereafter, we’ll be departing to the Gigjokull glacier which is located within the Eyjafjallajokull region. This name may sound familiar to you since it was this volcano which erupted in April of 2010 paralyzing flights and leaving the northern European region locked in blackened skies for a substantial period of time. Take advantage of this opportunity and explore this magical area for yourself!
Take free reign of your adventurous spirit. On this trip you’ll come across 10 glacial rivers. I bet you think they’ll be difficult to traverse or cross? Don’t worry with our Super Jeep it’ll be a piece of cake. Also, if we have time and weather permitting, we also plan on seeing the magnificent Stakkholtsgja Canyon which also has its own waterfall.
